How?
The HAPO works by partially redirecting the efforts of the top of the trunk (pectoral support) to the thighs using composite springs. The back belt allows, for its part, a maintenance without lumbar restraint. Laboratory tests showed that, compared to an exoskeleton-free situation, the HAPO allowed to reduce approximately -20% the solicitation of the back muscles.

LABORATORY STUDY
Laboratory tests have shown a -20% reduction in the demand on the back muscles (longissimus and latissimus dorsi) for standing or fully flexing tasks with the exoskeleton.
